Q Camp: An LGBTQ+ Community-Building Retreat for University of Maryland, College Park Undergrads.

WHAT: Q Camp is a program of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Equity Center, a professionally staffed office of the university. We encourage all UMD undergraduate students who are or want to be involved with LGBTQ+ communities on campus to apply (including LGBTQ+ identified people as well as allies/supporters, and including both new and returning students). Throughout the weekend, students will participate in activities meant to provide positive supports around identity development, self-care, community building, and ways to be involved on campus.

WHEN/WHERE: We will leave campus in the morning on Saturday, October 14th and return before lunch on Sunday, October 15th. Please reserve these dates on your calendar as you apply. The retreat takes place at a retreat center in Maryland and transportation is provided. All participants must travel with the group.

COST: Most of the cost of this retreat is supported by the Novak LGBT Fund, however we ask for a non-refundable fee of $20 for early deadline registrants (apply by August 27) and $25 for late deadline registrants (apply by September 17). However, the fee will be waived for anyone who can not afford it. Meals, lodging, and transportation are provided.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications may be considered on a rolling basis, but the early deadline is August 27th (responses back by September 4th) and the late deadline is September 17th (responses back by September 25th).
